Dead Leaves

"Great. It's the stupid leading the insane."
SUMMARY:
Retro and Pandy awake naked on Earth with no memories but superior abilities. After going on a five minute long crime spree that nearly blows up the entire nearby city, they get captured and sent to the infamous prison on the half destroyed Moon. There they start a gigantic revolt and find out that they used to be spies for the deranged, fairy-tale obsessed warden, who thinks Pandy killed her Daddy.
REVIEW:
Okay, first off, THIS MOVIE IS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY NOT FOR CHILDREN. It has sex, violence, and just plain twisted shit, among other things. I think I can honestly say that within the first five minutes of the movie you will realize that Dead Leaves is not for anyone under eighteen. If you like South Park and FLCL, you'll love this movie.
The plot is original and unique, though some parts about Pandy are a little bit rehashed. You know, the "I killed your Daddy and you want to kill me now" thing. It's been done before. But besides that, the entire thing is a completely original creation with interesting and strange characters, like the black guy who has a gigantic drill for a wang. Plus, Retro is just a TV with a human body attached. Plus the "We had sex and suddenly know how to get out of our prison cell" thing was so awesome I almost wet myself laughing.
The movie has a very 'underground' feeling to it, and I can say that it probably wasn't marketing in theaters in Japan OR America.
The art is AMAZINGLY unique. I need to look into who does it and see if I can find more of their stuff because it's eyecatching and interesting. The actions show up textually in video, similar to that of a comic book.
Finally, the voice acting. The English dub is FANTASIC. The voices are perfect in every way, especially Pandy's (Amanda Winn-Lee, also did Rally Vincent in GunSmith Cats). The voice is perfectly believeable. Retro voice fits his immature, perverted charactistics, and the other voices are all perfect, even Triple 6 and Triple 7. Galactica (Kerry Anderson) has a very indentifiably voice. I have a feeling they were paying these people out the wazoo because they really put their hearts into it.
RATING:
Story: A
Dub: AA
Music: B
Art: AA
Really worth seeing, just don't show it to the kids. Seriously.
